It is a really lovely experience to have dinner at Clover.
How I found this place
- On the day, I had a bad day personally. I decided to treat myself well to make over the negative feelings. I googled for a bar near me, and lucky! I found Clover. Literally, this lovely place made my day.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming me even though I was alone. They are happy to give recommendations for the best experience.
I had a cocktail, olives, and edamame for starter, a mocktail, grilled zucchini, grilled asparagus, pasta for dinner, another mocktail, and coconut gelato for dessert. I finished all the food alone. All of them are fantastic, so delicious, rich flavors.
Good place for bring your date, or special occupation like celebrating, even alone. I definitely come back to try other foods and drink on the menu.

This place is awesome !!! 🥹 The service were impeccable, we really felt looked after throughout the evening.
Came here for my birthday and we're already planning to come back and try other things !!
We ordered a la carte,
1. Foccacia
2. Burrata with miso crisp
3. Yuzu Eggplant
4. Squid ink pasta a la Vongole
5. Toothfish
6. Pistachio ice cream and tiramisu
It's hard to fault any of the dish, man its like meal after meal the flavours work perfectly 🤤🤤 my absolute fav is the squid ink pasta, and the toothfish..
The pasta is al dente, yet savoury and has a rich seafood taste, slightly spicy but not overpowering. The cook on the toothfish was perfect, and the sauce that came with it, wow just wow, never had that flavour profile before 👀✨
Thank you so much to the team that made my birthday extra special, and kudos to the chefs !! 👩🏻🍳

The new kid on the block is heating up the Canberra food scene by serving up some delicious Japanese style Italian dishes.
The menu is very well designed and we enjoyed everything that we tried. However, if we had to pick a few favourites, it would be the steak, prawns and the yuzu tiramisu #yum
They are also looking at doing pre-theatre menus which we cannot wait to explore. Who doesn’t like a fancy flair pre-theatre?

This is quite simply the best restaurant in Canberra. The food is magnificent with gorgeous and original flavors - the oysters with bonito and finger lime are to die for! I have them every time!! The flavors are perfectly balanced. The prawns are out of this world!! Butterflied and HUGE they are succulent and the sauce is rich and delicious. It might sound like a simple accompaniment but I still dream about the edamame with anchovy and parmesan (I had two bowls last time I was there). I adore the unagi risotto, the most unctuous risotto I've ever had and the pasta sometimes changes but they are all fantastic (I love the vongole and miso). The chef is incredibly gifted and the Japanese - Italian fusion is stunning (I've been to Japan and Italy many times and the flavours at Clover are authentic but the way they are brought together is entirely original). Couple this with the fact that the restaurant with its green velvet, mirror and cherry blossom trees is so atmospheric (and make the best backdrops for insta posts). The staff are attentive and incredibly professional, combining extensive knowledge of the menu and flavors with friendliness. Shout out to Ton! This restaurant is also open every day (even Monday!) ALL day. I've had dinner here but I've also called in at 11am or 3pm or 4pm for fantastic food and alcohol. It's a bit like stepping into a perfect bubble, away from the noise of the city. You will never want to leave. I recommend the breakfast martinis - with a Clover breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Went to Clover to celebrate a birthday. Was absolutely delighted by it.
The food was sublime. Beautiful flavours and quality ingredients. The scallops an absolute stand out. In fact all the seafood was.... but so was the steak. And the tiramusu....
Staff were lovely and passionate about the food - always a good sign!
The setting was good but there is an odd juxtaposition of a door to a hotel/apartment lobby. In no way detracted from the quality or enjoyment of the evening. But just took the atmosphere down a smidge.
It was so good I'm heading back for the lunch menu!

Food was great! Exceeded my expectations. I had the oysters (with ponzu & fingerlime dressing), burrata and the toothfish and each dish was on point! Wish I could have done the set menu but as a solo diner may have to return next time.
Highly recommended!

I had a lovely time at Clover Dining at two dinners with two separate groups of friends this week! Yes, so good I didn’t mind returning within the space of 5 days..😅 Standout dishes were the chicken, the toothfish and unagi risotto. The service was also polite and prompt for the meals, only one tiny thing was that we had to follow up a couple of times for drinks that we had ordered. Ton and his team do a great job, and I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and service.

The BEST meal I’ve had in a long time. Delicious pairings, beautiful presentation, outstanding service. Definitely worth a visit! I wish you lots of luck on your (fairly new) venture. We’ll definitely be back!

Great addition to the canberra food scene!! All dishes were outstanding, especially the scallops, prawns and Fremantle octopus. Only the linguine was a touch too sweet for our liking. Great service and atmosphere - will be back!
